The reflection of the sun in the water; nothing is more beautiful than this scene. The little sparkling stars on the water is truly the definition of happiness, at least for me! I have spent all yesterday on business ideas, on cash flows, on uncertainties, on risks; Some exciting moments, some scary ones, the mood swings, but I like it, I like the courage and the doubts, the curiosities and above all the new connections.
When I stopped to do what I have been trained for years and years to do I had one goal in mind: to find a fulfilment and a meaning on a daily basis and more importantly to enjoy the ride. As the ideas of entrepreneurship, risk, success and failure are all interesting and exciting subjects, they cannot stay in one’s mind 24/7. The moments of silence, calmness, nothingness is what creates at least for me the monentum to move on at the beginning of my journey.
Two years ago exactly at this time of the year I ditched my work to join some friends at the neighborhood public swimming pool and that day surprisingly marked one of the most memorable days of that summer. Now as I am sitting by the pool looking at the kids jumping and screaming I gain the whole energy required to take the next step. I don’t know what it is, the brightness of the sun, the spaciousness of the scenery, the clearness of the water or simply the constant scream of happiness, there is something in this moment that invites anyone to enjoy the life to the fullest.
As Robert Louis Stevenson says: “Anyone can carry his burden, however hard, until nightfall. Anyone can do his work, however hard, for one day. Anyone can live sweetly, patiently, lovingly, purely, till the sun goes down. And this is all life really means.” (1)
